Three types of park booking are available. Full, Camping and Hourly.
- 1. Full.
Full booking is designed for patrons who want the park and the pavilion for themselves and their own invited guests. (Note however that it is still a public park. Members of the public cannot be denied access.)
Full booking is generally used when there are a large number of people in the pavilion or the park or both. A Wedding reception or similar event will usually require a Full booking.
The fee for a full booking is $200 per day and this covers use of the Pavilion, Kitchens and bar.
To reserve your date for a full booking a non refundable deposit of $65 is required (please make cheques payable to Formosa Lions). The contract can be returned at a time closer to the event. Please check that your event is shown in the calendar listing with the correct dates and the correct details.
If camp sites are needed then they are an additional $30/$18 per site per day for trailers/tents.
The maximum number of serviced (with water and hydro) camp sites available is 28 but we do not advise attempting to use more than 24 sites at one time. There are sixteen 30 Amp hydro outlets, eight 20 Amp outlets and four 15 Amp outlets. There are no sewage disposal facilities.
Bathrooms and showers are available. Showers are at the Bruce Rd 12 side of the park. Follow the path along the river.
No other type of event can coexist with a full booking but sometimes, if there is also a camping request and if camp sites are available, we will contact the full booking patron to ask whether one or more campers may use one or more camp sites during the full booking event.

A Full booking fee and contract and a $65 deposit is required for all events which intend to have alcohol present in the pavilion, even if it’s just for a few hours (e.g. an evening meeting or get together). At least one member of the Formosa Lions must be present as a bartender and will charge $20/hour.
2. Camping.
Camping is designed for patrons who just want one or a few camp sites for trailers or tents.
The fee is $30/$18 per site per day for trailers/tents. If you book in advance please check that the calendar listing shows the correct dates and the correct details.

There is no access to the Kitchen/Bar but you can use the tables in the pavilion if they are not in use by another booking.
Access to the Kitchen/Bar can be obtained for the $20/hour pavilion fee provided there is no Hourly booking or other event using the pavilion at the same time.
It is not necessary to pay a deposit or return a contract.
There can be a separate Hourly booking at the same time.
Campers must not carry personal alcohol into the pavilion, even if the pavilion is covered by a liquor licence obtained for a full booking at the same time.
3. Hourly.
Hourly is designed for patrons who will not be camping (unless camping is booked separately) but who just want to use the pavilion and/or the park for a few hours during the day. Perhaps for a lunch or a meeting.
The fee is $20/hour and the Kitchen/Bar keys are available if requested. Please check that the calendar listing shows the correct dates and the correct details.
Bathrooms are available.
It is not necessary to pay a deposit or return a contract.
Camping may be booked separately by anyone at the same time.
Alcohol is not permitted in the pavilion.
The pavilion (tables only) is available to any group of not more than 10 people any time (if it’s not booked or in use by anyone else) free of charge.
